Why Work With Me?

Areas of Specialism

I know that reaching out for help can feel like a daunting step. Perhaps you’re tired of trying to figure it all out on your own, or you’re looking for someone who truly "gets" the complexity of what you’re carrying.

When you work with me, you aren’t just getting a set of therapeutic techniques; you are getting a dedicated partnership. I bring a blend of deep empathy and professional experience to help you feel seen, heard, and—most importantly—safe.

A Foundation of Trust and Experience

I have spent years working within various charities and private practice, supporting both adults and young people. This cross-generational work gives me a unique perspective on how our early stories often shape our adult lives.

Before focusing fully on my counselling practice, I spent 12 years in education and safeguarding. This background is my "quiet strength"—it means I am used to holding complex situations with a steady hand, ensuring our work together is always held in a secure and professional environment.

I offer focused support for those navigating:

  • Self-Harm: Exploring, without judgement your self-harm. Removing shame and moving to a place of harm reduction and greater understanding of self.

  • Trauma & Childhood Patterns: Using "Inner Child" work to understand the origins of your defences and help you feel safe in the present.

  • People-Pleasing & Boundaries: Helping you reclaim your voice and stop living for others at the expense of yourself.

  • Grief & Loss: Providing a steady, non-judgmental space to process the weight of what has been lost—whether that is a person, a relationship, or a version of yourself.

  • Anxiety & Overwhelm: Moving beyond "coping strategies" to understand the root cause of your restlessness.

  • Feeling 'Lost' or Stuck: Walking alongside you as you untangle your story and rediscover your sense of purpose.
